The Leaf & The Eclipse
This writing will make you feel very special, loved, and continue to destroy any self-doubt you might have.
Imagine being in a beautiful forested area watching a leaf falling from a tree in the middle of autumn season.
You might not find it special. In fact, the next moment, you see another one falling from a neighbouring tree.
You have a look at the forest around you...
About half of the leaves from all trees have fallen, and the other half are still on the trees in varying shades of green, yellow, red, and brown.
Within you, there is a knowing of "how abundant" this event of a leaf falling from a tree is, so you pay to it no attention.
You don't treat it any special.
How unfortunate, from the perspective of THAT leaf. To that one leaf, it is the ONLY leaf in the world, and everything else that exists is "outside" of it.
In the very same way as to "you", there are 7-8 billion "other" human beings outside of you and then there is "you".
Now I want you to place the two images in your mind's eye:
The side by side comparison of 1. one leaf in an area with one million leaves, and 2. you, in a country or world with millions of other humans.
What makes you special?
It is your very existence that makes you special, and I will prove it to you.
It is your mind which has been conditioned to believe that you are not special because you think that you are replaceable because there are other "humans" (just because they are human) just like you.
No, no, no. This is incorrect. There is no single human like you, and we can reframe this belief in the mind with a little thought experiment.
Go back to that first leaf which is falling from the tree.
Now, imagine that this leaf is the LAST leaf in the whole forested area. Every tree is absolutely barren, the brown leaves are all on the floor, and you see this ONE last leaf holding on to the tree.
Now, expand the scale.
It's not just the last leaf in the forest.
It's the last leaf that is still hanging on a tree in the whole entire accessible UNIVERSE.
Now, how special do you treat it?
How special is the event of it's falling?
The answer is that it is infinitely special. It's a COSMIC event.
Just like a solar eclipse.
We predict solar eclipses because they happen rarely, and because of that, we value them more. The inverse is also true: when there is an abundance of leaves that can fall, none of them are valued in the same way as an eclipse would be.
We have a glimpse now that it is our mind's programming which is causing us to think in this way. And just by reading this, you are in the process of reframing and reprogramming.
When we think in an existential, cosmic, or spiritual perspective though - we can really know that every leaf is unique, and every falling of a leaf, a cosmic event.
It's just a question of the glasses you have on. The "zoom" that you choose to see the world through.
If you ZOOM in on the one leaf (amidst the many), you will find it special. If you zoom OUT of the solar eclipse, and realise that there are millions of eclipses happening at once in the universe in this moment, you will find it less special.
So the conditioning that because things happen rarely (vs often) or because things are abundant (vs scarce), you can let go of, immediately - by realising that this is nothing but mind programming.
A pair of glasses through which your mind sees the world. You can just... take them off, right now.
And if you still have trouble thinking of yourself as special, unique, truly gifted, a gem in the world...
You can extend the comparison of the leaf and the solar eclipse to yourself.
There is no one like you.
There is no one in the same situation as you.
There is no one who has the same history, the same challenges, the same journey, as you.
Even if there are other leaves out there, and that they too, fall - there is none of them which can replace "your fall", your journey.
Your fall, your journey, is a cosmic event.
As is every moment in your life.
We can say there are SIMILARITIES to some people, but to be 'exactly' the same as you, there is no other. (Even if you're a twin or triplet).
That is the beauty of the cosmic perspective.
When you can take off the glasses of your mind's conditioning, you can realise that not only this moment, but every moment, is special - for what it is, and for what it brings.
Your existence is a cosmic event. It is irreplaceable.
You've just been wearing the glasses of self-doubt for too long, and in too many areas of your life.
It's time to take them off.
And just because you exist, you are deserving and you are worthy, of unconditional love from the Universe.
I am sending unconditional loving kindness energy your way. Thank you for reading.

Warmest,
